PLEASE HELP 1000s of ITALIANS IN NEED, WITH A DONATION.
The Green Bay Club Italo-Americano is a social organization whose members gather to celebrate the Italian Culture in many ways. Some of our activities include:
Italian language Classes, Winter classes now registering.
Participation in Festivals including our booth at Green Bay International Fest, and joining other community Italian Festivals with trips to visit Milwaukee's and Madison's Italian Club festivals.
Club Italo-Americano holiday dinners and events such as the yearly Christmas Dinner, and Columbus Day spaghetti dinner-gathering
Italian Movies with subtitles
Cooking and tasting demonstrations, with members participating in preparations and enjoying the fruits of their labor
Recreational activities such as our Bocce Ball picnic and tournaments
Musical programs associated with holidays
other impromtu gatherings as inspired by the times and events
Our Green Bay Italo-Americano Club is not limited to only people of Italian descent. We welcome all people who wish to celebrate and experience “Italianismo” through our traditions of Italian culture, recreation, culinary delights, and civility.
The Club does not have a permanent location to hold our meetings and activities. Instead, we make use of various community facilities such as publicly owned community halls, theaters, park houses, and other rental facilities as needed.
One major goal of the Green Bay Club Italo-Americano in recent years has been to advocate and to encourage the teaching of the Italian Language as an elective in various area educational institutions. We are pleased to report that beginning in the Fall session of 2008, the Green BaySchool District will offer the Italian Language as an elective. St. Norbert, FoxValley, NWTC, and the UWGB have varying degrees of Italian language and cultural outreach. Our club will be happy to refer those interested in these programs to appropriate community educational resources.
We invite all those people who are interested in participating and celebrating the Italian culture to contact us to explore joining our Green Bay Club Italo-Americano. Our membership fees are modest, and we are growing in our community influence and social impact.
